Telehealth Regulations & Compliance

How we operate within federal and state law

DEA Telemedicine Rules

StopADHD exceeds DEA telehealth prescribing requirements. Our hybrid model — in-person initial evaluations at NYC, Rocklin & San Jose offices with virtual follow-up — permanently satisfies the Ryan Haight Act requirements for controlled substance prescribing, regardless of future changes to temporary telehealth flexibilities.

State-Specific Laws

We operate under New York and California telemedicine laws, which require documented patient-provider relationships, secure video platforms, and proper record-keeping. All evaluations meet state standards for diagnosis.

HIPAA Compliance

All patient communications, records, and video appointments are HIPAA-compliant. We use encryption, secure servers, and follow strict data protection protocols to safeguard your private health information.

Informed Consent

All patients review and consent to telemedicine-specific information before their appointment, including technology requirements, security measures, and potential limitations of virtual care.
