You've built a career. You've compensated. But the workarounds are collapsing, and the things you used to white-knuckle through are getting harder, not easier.
The median wait for a psychiatrist is 67 days. We see new patients this week. StopADHD requires what telehealth services skip: a face-to-face evaluation with a physician specializing in ADHD at our NYC, Rocklin, or San Jose office. Forty-five to sixty minutes. Validated diagnostic tools. Comorbidity screening. The evaluation that stands up.
— You're exhausted by noon — not from the work, but from the effort it takes to start the work.
— You rewrite emails four times because you can't trust yourself to be clear the first time.
— You have 47 open browser tabs, three half-finished projects, and a to-do list you avoid looking at.
— Your therapist says it's anxiety. Your doctor says it's stress. But something doesn't add up.
— The promotion came, but the Sunday-night dread spiral came with it — because you know the expectations just got heavier and your coping mechanisms are already maxed out.
— You've Googled "do I have ADHD" at 2 AM more times than you can count, then talked yourself out of it by morning.
ADHD isn't a character flaw. It's a neurological condition that responds to treatment — when the treatment is done right.

I started this practice because I watched the telehealth industry turn ADHD diagnosis into a factory. Fifteen-minute video calls. Checkbox questionnaires. Prescriptions written before the patient finishes their first sentence. Some of these companies have already faced DOJ investigations and lost their prescribing privileges. That's not medicine. That's a liability wrapped in a subscription fee.
I believe the evaluation is the treatment. When it's done right — face-to-face, with validated instruments, with time to listen — the diagnosis becomes something you trust. Not something you second-guess at 3 AM.
My training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy shapes how I approach every evaluation. ADHD rarely travels alone — roughly 80% of adults with ADHD have at least one co-occurring condition: anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, substance use. If I only screen for attention, I'll miss the thing that's actually driving your suffering. So I screen for everything.
I also comply fully with the Ryan Haight Act, which requires a face-to-face evaluation before prescribing Schedule II controlled substances. While most care is delivered via telemedicine, in-person consultations may be required from time to time depending on the patient's clinical needs — the frequency is determined by the health of each patient and discussed when you become a long-term member of the practice. This isn't a technicality — it's the law, and it protects you.
If you've been dismissed, rushed, or given a diagnosis that didn't feel earned — come sit across from me. We'll figure it out together.
What a thorough evaluation actually looks like — not what a 15-minute telehealth call pretends it is.
Before your visit, complete the ASRS-v1.1 self-report screener online. It takes 3 minutes, costs nothing, and gives Dr. Kumra a clinical baseline before you walk in the door.
45–60 minutes. Face-to-face at our NYC, Rocklin, or San Jose office.
Dr. Kumra uses a multi-instrument diagnostic approach:
If medication is prescribed, the Precision Titration Protocol uses ongoing data to optimize your treatment — not guess at it.
Every patient receives a detailed clinical report — not just a diagnosis.
ADHD subtype, severity rating, clinical justification
Anxiety, depression, bipolar, substance use findings
Medication plan, behavioral strategies, lifestyle modifications
ADHD-specialized therapists and coaches when appropriate
How ADHD specifically affects your work, relationships, daily life
Shareable with other physicians, pharmacies, employers, schools
If medication is prescribed at your evaluation, Dr. Kumra provides referrals to ADHD-specialized therapists and coaches for comprehensive support.

"I always thought I was just bad at focusing. My therapist said it was anxiety. My PCP said I was 'too high-functioning' for ADHD. Dr. Kumra ran five screenings in one visit and found ADHD-Inattentive with comorbid generalized anxiety. The Clarity Report was so detailed my PCP started using it as a reference. Three months into treatment, I'm not white-knuckling through every meeting anymore."

"I tried two telehealth services before StopADHD. The first one diagnosed me in 12 minutes. The second one wouldn't prescribe anything without six months of therapy first. Dr. Kumra spent almost an hour with me and caught a sleep disorder that was making everything worse. The tracking system actually measures whether the medication is working — it's not just 'how do you feel?' every month."

"I was diagnosed at 36. Thirty-six. I spent my entire twenties thinking I was lazy, disorganized, and somehow faking my way through a career. The in-person evaluation felt completely different from the online questionnaires I'd taken. Dr. Kumra asked questions nobody had ever asked me before. The Clarity Report didn't just say 'you have ADHD' — it explained exactly how it was showing up in my life and what to do about it."

"The in-person format was the reason I chose StopADHD. After three apps and two telepsych services, I was done with webcam evaluations. Dr. Kumra caught comorbid anxiety that everyone else had missed. The virtual follow-ups work perfectly — I haven't needed to drive to San Jose since the initial eval."

"I almost didn't go because I was convinced they'd tell me nothing was wrong. Instead, Dr. Kumra validated what I'd been feeling for years. He adjusted my medication twice based on the monitoring data and referred me to a CBT therapist who specializes in ADHD. I haven't felt this focused since college."
